Here is the plan…

  1. Make a booking online and secure your appointment by paying R1790-00 for your procedure upfront.
  2. Complete your consent and prescreening form before your appointment via email.
  3. Arrive at the clinic on time for your selected appointment time and date.
  4. Dr Adè will assess your skin and proceed with your treatment in order to optimize your skin health.
  5. A CC-cream will be applied before completion of the treatment to protect your skin post procedure.
  6. Post care products will be discussed in depth to optimize home care.

Important information

  • Schedule your appointment at least 2 weeks prior to a special event. Redness, swelling and bruising may be apparent in that time period.
  • It is recommended to discontinue the use of Aspirin, NSAIDS, Gingko Biloba, Garlic, Ginseng, St. John’s Wort, Flax Oil, Cod Liver Oil, Vitamin A, Vitamin E or any other essential fatty acids at least 3 days to 1 week before and after treatment to minimize bruising or bleeding. Please consult with your primary physician prior to discontinuing any medications.
  • Avoid alcohol, caffeine, Niacin supplement, high-sodium foods, high sugar foods, refined carbohydrates, spicy foods and cigarettes 24-48 hours before and after your treatment. All of these factors may increase risk of bruising and swelling.
  • Microneedling is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure that involves using a handheld device with tiny, sterile needles to puncture the skin.
  • This process creates controlled micro-injuries that stimulate the body’s natural healing response and promote the production of collagen and elastin, which are essential proteins for healthy, youthful-looking skin.
  • Microneedling is often used to improve the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, and hyperpigmentation.
  • The procedure is safe for all skin types and can be customized to target specific areas of concern.
  • you have a history of cold sores. An antiviral may be prescribed.
  • You may not have an active rash in the area being treated.
  • Redness or sensitivity might be present (and last up to a few hours).
  • Use Panado only as needed for any soreness.
  • Do NOT manipulate the treated area for 4 hours following treatment.
  • Do NOT wear a hat for 4 hours following treatment.
  • Do NOT lie down for 4 hours after your treatment.
  • Do NOT perform activities involving straining, heavy lifting or vigorous exercise for 4 hours after treatment.
  • It is recommended that you wait at least 2 weeks before having any other facial treatments (i.e. facials, massages, lasers, ultrasounds, micro-dermabrasion).

Microneedling treatments are between 30-60min, depending on how Dr Adè personalises your treatment.

Skin tightening can be felt 1-2 days post procedure, with skin texture improvement and glow becoming visible 5-7 days post procedure. Hyper-pigmentation and scarring requires multiple sessions for optimal results.

Microneedling creates controlled micro-injuries to the skin, triggering the body’s natural healing response and stimulating the production of new collagen and elastin fibers. This improves the texture, firmness, and overall appearance of the skin. Additionally, microneedling enhances the absorption of skincare products, making them more effective in addressing specific skin concerns.

The needles are extremely small so it feels like nothing more than a pin prick. A topical numbing solution will be used when a needle depth more than 2mm in used.

The sooner, the better! The tiny needles used in the procedure create micro-injuries that stimulate the production of new collagen fibers in the skin.
