Skin Treatments at Arca Wellness

Microneedling

Stimulate your skin's natural collagen response to refine texture, reduce scarring, and restore a smoother, firmer complexion — with results that improve over time.

The treatment

Your skin, prompted to heal itself.

Microneedling uses a device with ultra-fine needles to create thousands of controlled micro-channels in the skin's surface. These tiny punctures trigger your skin's natural wound-healing response — stimulating the production of collagen and elastin from within.

At Arca, we use the Dermapen MD4 — a medical-grade device trusted by practitioners worldwide for its precision depth control and consistent results. Each treatment is performed by Lizelle, our trained dermal aesthetician, under Dr. Adè's clinical oversight.

The real power lies in what we deliver into those channels — a customised infusion selected specifically for your skin's needs, penetrating far more effectively than any topical product could.

What microneedling addresses

Microneedling is one of the most versatile skin treatments available — effective across a wide range of concerns and skin tones.

Texture & rough skin

Smooth away uneven skin texture, bumpy patches, and dullness caused by sluggish cell turnover — revealing a softer, more refined surface.

Enlarged pores

Stimulate the collagen that surrounds pores to restore structure and reduce their visible size — particularly effective when combined with Microtox.

Fine lines & early ageing

Rebuild the collagen and elastin lost with age to soften fine lines and improve skin firmness, particularly around the eyes, mouth, and cheeks.

Acne scarring

Break down fibrous scar tissue and stimulate healthy new collagen to improve the appearance of rolling, boxcar, and shallow ice-pick acne scars over a course of treatments.

Pigmentation

Accelerate cell turnover to help fade post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation and melasma, especially when paired with targeted brightening infusions.

Skin laxity & crepiness

Tighten and firm loose, crepey skin on the face and neck — collagen remodelling delivers a gradual but lasting lift without downtime.

The Arca difference

Your infusion is chosen for you.

Every microneedling treatment at Arca includes a customised serum infusion delivered directly through the microchannels created during treatment. This dramatically improves the absorption and efficacy of active ingredients — and it's where the real results are made. Lizelle selects your infusion based on your skin assessment and treatment goals.

Basic Hyaluronic Acid

A foundational hydration infusion of pure hyaluronic acid — ideal for first-time patients, sensitive skin, or those wanting immediate plumping, dewy-skin results with no complexity.

Hydration & glow

Vitamin Cocktail

A brightening infusion combining Vitamin B, Vitamin C, and amino acids to target dullness, uneven tone, and early signs of oxidative stress. Best for pigmentation, tired-looking skin, and a post-summer reset.

Brightening & tone
The bigger picture

Results that compound.

A single microneedling session delivers visible results — but the real transformation happens over a course. Collagen synthesis is a slow, cumulative process. Each treatment builds on the last.

01

After your first session

Skin looks immediately brighter and feels smoother. Hydration levels improve noticeably. Pores appear more refined within days as the first wave of collagen synthesis begins.

02

Sessions 2–3

Texture continues to refine. Scarring begins to soften as new collagen fills in. Pigmentation lifts with each round of accelerated cell turnover. Your skin's tone becomes more consistent.

03

Sessions 4–6

Full collagen remodelling is now well underway. Results are more durable and dramatic — tighter, firmer skin with visibly improved structure. Most patients describe this phase as transformative.

The process

How your treatment works

1

Skin assessment & infusion selection

Before treatment begins, Lizelle performs a thorough skin assessment and reviews your current concerns, history, and goals. She selects your infusion accordingly — whether that's a vitamin cocktail for brightness, NCTF for comprehensive skin repair, or NCTF + Microtox for advanced pore refinement and firming. If this is your first visit to Arca, we recommend beginning with a Skin Scope consultation with Dr. Adè to establish your full skin plan.

2

Preparation & numbing

A topical anaesthetic cream is applied and left to work for 20–30 minutes. This makes the treatment comfortable for the vast majority of patients — most describe a mild warm sensation rather than any real discomfort. Your skin is thoroughly cleansed before treatment begins.

3

Treatment with the Dermapen MD4

Lizelle uses the Dermapen MD4 — a precision medical-grade microneedling device — to create thousands of micro-channels across the treatment area. The depth is customised to your skin's thickness and the concern being treated. Your selected infusion is applied throughout, absorbing directly into the skin at a depth that topical products simply cannot reach. The full treatment takes approximately 30–40 minutes for the face alone.

4

Post-treatment recovery support

Immediately after treatment, your skin will appear red and feel warm — similar to mild sunburn. A calming mask is applied to soothe the skin and support the recovery process. You'll leave with full aftercare instructions including which products to avoid and a recommended home-care routine to support your results between sessions. Redness typically resolves within a few hours, and you should plan for no social events on the evening of your treatment.

Questions

Frequently asked

Most patients describe the sensation as mild warmth or a light scratching feeling — not pain. We apply a topical anaesthetic cream for 20–30 minutes before treatment, which significantly reduces any discomfort. Sensitive areas like the forehead and nose may feel more intense, but the treatment is well-tolerated by the vast majority of patients.
We recommend a minimum of 3 sessions for most skin concerns, spaced 4–6 weeks apart. For acne scarring or significant texture changes, 6 sessions are often needed for the most complete result. Lizelle will advise on a personalised course plan at your first appointment — and if you're considering multiple sessions, ask about The Skin Society for discounted treatment courses.
NCTF (New Cellular Treatment Factor) is a proprietary injectable solution developed by Filorga. It contains over 50 active ingredients including vitamins, minerals, amino acids, coenzymes, nucleic acids, and hyaluronic acid. Applied through the microchannels during microneedling, it nourishes and regenerates skin cells at a depth that no topical product can reach. It addresses ageing, dehydration, dullness, and loss of firmness simultaneously — which is why we recommend it as our primary infusion for most patients.
Microtox is a diluted neuromodulator (Botulinum Toxin A) that is delivered through the microchannels created during the microneedling process. Unlike traditional Botox, it does not affect facial movement. Instead, it works on the superficial muscles and glands responsible for pore size and excess sebum production — resulting in visibly smaller pores, a reduction in oiliness, and an overall smoother, more refined skin texture. It also provides a subtle tightening effect. It's particularly effective for patients with oily skin or congestion.
Yes — microneedling is one of the few resurfacing treatments that is safe and effective across all skin tones, including Fitzpatrick types IV–VI. Because it does not use heat or light energy, there is minimal risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation when performed correctly. Dr. Adè and Lizelle are experienced in treating a wide range of skin tones at Arca, and treatment protocols are adjusted accordingly.
We recommend avoiding all makeup for at least 24 hours after treatment to reduce the risk of irritation and infection. Your skin's microchannels remain open for several hours after the procedure, so anything applied to the skin during this time goes straight in — which is ideal for the recovery products we recommend, but not for makeup. After 24 hours, most patients can return to their normal routine. We'll advise you on timing at your appointment.
Yes — microneedling combines very effectively with other Arca treatments as part of a broader skin plan. It pairs well with chemical peels (done in alternating sessions), skin booster injectables like Profhilo or Sunekos, and anti-wrinkle injections. We do not recommend combining it with laser or IPL treatments in the same session. Dr. Adè will map out an integrated treatment plan during your Skin Strategy consultation if you're looking to address multiple concerns.
